8:15:46PM Tuesday, November 27, 2001 Quote Of The Day: "All Seniors Turn Crazy" That was wonderful... wasn't it? Don't ask what it's from - if you're in my math class you'll get it. If not... you'll probably still get it. Oh well. My attempts at amusing a select few never go over well... So what went on today? Not too much at all... I'm sitting here trying to think about what to write and the most interesting thing that comes to mind is how Caroline threw out my garbage at lunch... sad - I know. (If only you knew the full story behind the throwing out of garbage today...) Wow, this post is sadly boring.... Though of something to add! WOOO!! My Spanish essay! I'll put it up in Spanish, see if you can translate it (Yeah, I know - jump to that translater - which will give you a very jumbled version of what it means, but close nonetheless). Without further ado... the spanish essay! Urgh... you're in for a let down.. I forgot it was on my mom's computer, and I'm at my dad's right now... sorry?

9:02:51PM Sunday, November 25, 2001 Quote of the day: ItalianGAL3: ohh no doras underwear just came off!!! - You don't even want to know... A long weekend without a post on locodanny.com... I know: You're asking yourself "Danny, why must you torture me like that?!" I have to be honest with you: There's no explanation. I've been lazy... actually, I've been busy. Actually - screw you! I'll post whenever the hell I want to post! You don't own me! Next time you tell me to post more - I swear I'll block you from this site... (If I only knew how). What's up with me right now? Didn't expect to type that when I started... oh well. Happy Thanksgiving, by the way. Mine was good - hope yours was also. Went to the Knicks game yesterday - they won - woo! Went to Ground Zero last night - don't think I can even comment on it... crazy, scary, fucked up stuff. Did homework today... completed yet ANOTHER spanish essay - this one about "Thanksgiving and why food is important during it." I am the master of bullshitting spanish essays. I don't know, I don't think there's anything else?

I didn't post anything all weekend... sorry. Hmm, now that I'm back to posting I need to come up with soemthing to post, huh? This is the first post in a while that doesn't really have any substance to it... Team Games --- NEVER take it! (Especially first period...) | 4:58:24PM Thursday, November 15, 2001 Quote Of The Day: "Do you cut the film or develop it first?" - Bill, from my film class, re: His knowledge of filmmaking I'm President of Club Council!!!! WOOOOOOOOOO! Actually, I'm Co-President... here's how it went down: We did an initial vote for President and Vice President based on people being nominated. Carly nominated me, I nominated her for Vice President. Nathan Winkler nominated Brandon West for Prez and Dan Kaiman for Vice Prez. The vote went down and it turned out 4 for me, 4 for Brandon, and 3 for Carly, 5 for Dan Kaiman. So Kaiman got VP. We did another vote for President... again: 4 - 4. It's at that point that someone suggested co-presidenting, which I eagerly agreed to, as it was really nerve wracking watching them count the votes each time. No big deal, I'm happy sharing it with Brandon - hopefully we'll work together well, I'm sure we will. "In A New York Minute", the World Trade Center Version, just came on my playlist... I'm listening to it and getting all mad/sad/etc. about it again.... they have clips from that day, etc. in it... okay, skipping to next song.... Had the first Achieve Tutoring thing today. I started out with a boy, who had to leave early. I then moved on to a girl whom I stayed with for the rest of the time. As I was leaving she said to me, "Will you be here next week?" and I said "Yeah, probably." She then said "Good! I like you!"... it was really cute. Nothing else too interesting.... |

Yet another one!
6:42:19PM Wednesday, November 14, 2001 Quote Of The Day: "AGE087: im making this really hott necklace noww AGE087: i love it!! Locodanny: nice - out of what? AGE087: hemp and these star beads Locodanny: cool Locodanny: hemp, huh? AGE087: omg ur impossible to talk to AGE087: will u ever let me live this downnn Was about to post on this when I rememebered we had yet another bomb threat today... had to go check up on the latest on MaplewoodOnline.com, where I posted the following, which is todays post: Yep... another one... during 5th period. From what I can tell, I'm not in the minority when it comes to people being fed up with this type of behavior... As I was evacuating today I was talking with a friend of mine saying something like "This is ridiculous... completely out of hand", etc. A teacher heard me, turned around and said "You guys need to catch who's doing this." I simply responded with, "Believe me - if we could, we would have already." My question is this: Do the teachers/administration/parents, etc. think that students know who is doing this? Or that students condone this? Because if they do, they're wrong - most don't, and are strongly against evacuating the school as we do each week, at least once a week. We sat outside for over an hour today. It was warm enough that we weren't transported to MMS, luckily. I heard quite a few people say that "If they're going to make us go to MMS, I'm not going." I'm included in the list of people who said this. It's ridiculous... I don't think we've gone a week without having an evacuation since September 11th. Whoever is doing this MUST be caught... immediately. It disrupts my day, along with that of over 1700 other students. I find that after evacuating and standing outside for an hour I'm just not in the mood to go back to work. I'm hungry, bored, and sick of waiting. When the alarms went off today, it wasn't anything new. We were all expecting it sometime, we were just unsure of when it would be. It's getting to be methodical. The alarms go off, pack your bags, walk outside, wait an hour +, if it's cold go to MMS, go back back inside the school to the class you were in when alarms went off, wait ten minutes doing nothing for announcement from Dr. Robbins, go to next period - significantly shorter than it should be. And for the third time in a week (maybe two?) school was extended past it's normal time. Catch who's doing this - and catch them fast. I for one, am sick of waiting.

8:17:53PM Monday, November 12, 2001 Quote of the day: "She's too old-school, straight-up math for me." - Me, re: Talking to adults "It's the first time I've kissed a man since I got my hook." - Hook Lady on Boston Public It would probably be best if you didn't even ask about today's quote and what it means... Boston Public's on.... Lipshitz just called a kid a douche bag.... interesting. And I better not be missing a really good 7th Heaven... oh man! Not too much happened in school today.... another plane crash, but that wasn't in school... and you're not on Locodanny.com to find out news of the world that you've surely heard before. Nice.... Adam Sandler's on Undeclared tomorrow... too bad I won't be home. So I'm going to a Barenaked Ladies concert on November 30th (hopefully)... and on December 2nd (definitely)... should be amazing! And then there's Dispatch next Wednesday night... AND I get to call people in my section of the yearbook tonight.... oh boy - the joys of being an editor. Hook ladies become a major character on Boston Public.... why? Had to add that second little quote in there... it was just too good.

Went to Long Island for Grandparents anniversary tonight... that's about all I did all day... well - that and school work, but that never counts for anything - right? Is there a Doc quiz tomorrow? |

Cell Phone!!!
11:31:15PM Saturday, November 10, 2001 Quote Of The Day: "You still sexy if you ask me!" - The security guard at my dads office to him with me standing there So yeah, that was said yesterday when we were in the city and stopped by my dads office. Woke up at 1 PM today - woo! Went to Short Hills Mall and finally got a cell phone... well, kind of. My dad got a new one two weeks ago and he wanted to cancel his old one. The problem is that his old one is under contract until the middle of March, and if he cancelled it now it would end up costing more than it does to just keep it... so it's mine until March... Didn't do much else today.... I should probably finish my homework...

Stupid DMV!
6:51:17PM Friday, November 9, 2001 Quote of the day: "You're a disgrace to the human race." - My dad to me Playing around with the layout a little... nothing big.. probably making the site even worse. Oh well. Went to the DMV this morning to reschedule my driving test since they scheduled it for December 21st, my birthday, at 8:30 AM and my dad couldn't get me there then. I waited on line for like 40 minutes and when I finally got to the front the lady said "Go on over to booth number 7 and they'll take care of you." That means I didn't have to wait on line for the 40 minutes... I could have gone directly to booth 7. So we went over and the lady was in the back or something and told me to come back there. My dad and I started walking back and she said "Only one of you." God I hate these people... So I went back, asked her if I could reschedule for December 24th in Randolph. She said "I know it's really booked, let me check." She checked, the first available in Randolph was January 4th. I then asked if I would be affected by the Graduated Drivers License thing since it was after the New Year. She said "This is what's coming up on my screen." I again asked if I would be affected by the Graduated Drivers License thing. She said "This is what's coming up on my screen... stop asking me questions." It's at this point that I just said "Fine, I'll just leave the date." So an hour after I walked into the place, I got nothing done. After that we went into the city to the New York Film Academy to find out more... it was really cool... I'm definitely going to go. That was my fun filled day...

Forgot A Quote?!?
6:37:55PM Thursday, November 8, 2001 Quote of the day: "I'm Caucasion, Jewish, and a male. I'm certainly not in your typical groups categorized as being underrepresented in the film industry. The one "group" that I am a part of that is underrepresented is that of teenagers. Not many teenagers have the opportunity to just go out and make films, regardless of their gender, race, or religion. I feel that, as a teenager, I am incredibly... I am incredibly repetative." -Me Re: Application for Future Filmmakers Program I can't believe I forgot a quote of the day yesterday...today's is kind of long, should make up for it... oh man - how'd I forget yesterday? Oh well... Boring day today, stayed in all day, didn't wake up until 11:00... yay! There really isn't anything to say...

11:15:14PM Wednesday, November 7, 2001 The school decided to run a full schedule today - periods 1 through 9. Usually we drop a period a day. On Monday we drop period 3, Tuesday period 2, Wednesday period 4, Thursday period 8, and Friday period 9. So today we would have dropped period 4, Chemistry. Instead we had EVERY period - and in normal order, which was kind of strange. We also had an extended homeroom... it was originally intended to give time for students to empty out lockers because there's a rodent problem or something, but it turned into a longer news show... such is life... but they forgot to air the promo Carly and I rushed to make yesterday... oh well. No school tomorrow or Friday - nice, I get to sleep... Ahhh, sleep, a good idea....

This is getting out of hand.... rephrase that: This has GOTTEN out of hand.
4:16:56PM Tuesday, November 6, 2001 Quote of the day: "We will exit the gymnasium by way of the liberry." - Mr. Bailey re: Returning to CHS I had just entered my third period classroom when the alarms went off this morning. On the way there, I had seen Dr. Robbins frantically talking into her walkie talkie, while someone down the hall was literally screaming her name. No one payed any attention while this was happening. I was walking right behind Dr. Robbins so I tried to get her attention to let her know someone was screaming for her... she either didn't hear me or chose to ignore me. I don't know which. So anyway, the alarms went off, there were about 5 of us out of a class of 20 or so in the room, my teacher hadn't arrived yet. We walked into the hall, outside, etc. and to our "usual spot" for a third period evacuation. (How sad is it that we have a specific spot that we know to go to when this happens?) In under 10 minutes, about 19 of the 20 of us had arrived in the spot, all knowing that this is where we would meet - knowing this because it's happened so many times before. So about 10 minutes of just "hanging out" outside, and Mr. Healy assembled everyone in the back of the school... he chose not to use the megaphone in his hand, rather to talk quite low so most people couldn't hear him. Don't ask me why - I'm still trying to figure that out myself. I couldn't pick up most of what he was saying, but I think it was something like the fact that since the alarms went off during passing time each teacher should take 30 students and write their names down so as to take some form of attendence. It didn't work out too well, from what I saw. It was a few minutes later that we heard the dreaded announcement - move to Maplewood Middle School. I heard many protests from students, including many coming from myself. I don't understand how so much class time can be wasted each and every day due to stupid events like this... but I'll get to my reaction afterwards. So we start moving to MMS... walking. I guess the weather wasn't bad enough for busses? (Although when it was raining last time I still ended up walking.) About 35-40 minutes later, we arrived. I must say that the administration improved their Emergency Action Plan or whatever it's called, as the entire walk was quite structured, unlike last time. There were policemen at almost ever corner directing traffic around us, and teachers lining the way so we knew which way to walk. I was quite impressed. Arrive at MMS, go into the gym (Freshmen went to the auditorium). It was at this point that I was faced with the most difficult task of the day: finding my homeroom teacher in a flood of probably 75-100 teachers. It took me about 10 minutes to find him, but I finally did, told him I was there, had my name written down on his list, then found a seat... there weren't any left in the bleachers by that time so I ended up sitting on the floor. Luckily I found a friend. It's at this point that Mr. Healy gets on the microphone He does his "123... shhhhhh" thing a few times like we're in second grade until there's quiet in the gymnasium. He updated us on the situation, there wasn't much to update, but he did his best. About 30-40 minutes later (if that) we began walking back, being dissmissed by bleacher. I got back to the school a while later (another long walk back...), went to Homeroom, and found out that they cut out Period 8 and instead put in Period 3. (Why they did this, I don't know...) I think I walked out of the building at approximately 8:50 AM. I looked at my watch as I walked in. It read: 11:28 AM. That's 2 hours and 38 minutes. Ridiculous. I don't even know what else to say. I've actually gotten in the custom of wearing my jacket all day long, just in case we have an evacuation and it's cold out. Adding it all up, I'd say that we've wasted over a day (maybe 2) of class time due to evacuations. The person (or people) responsible for these actions MUST be caught. I don't know how much is being put into finding out who is doing this, as before today not a word was said to the student body about finding out... just that "we've been subjected to a hoax." Today, Mr. Healy told us (while we were still at CHS, before moving to MMS) that they think it's someone within the school and they are working their hardest to find out who. Well try harder! I'm sick and tired of missing classes because someone thinks its funny to call in a bomb threat. And I'm not alone. I've talked to many other students who feel the same way (as surprising as that may sound). Yeah, the first time we all thought "cool, we get out of school for a few hours", but now it's just getting ridiculous. I'm in an AP class third period - I've now missed numerous class periods due to evacuations, and to tell you the truth - we're not nearly as far as we need to be to be ready for the AP test in May. The "daily evacuations" are part of the reason for this, if not all of it. I do, however, have to commend the administration for how they handled today's evacuation. It was run much more smoothly than past events. I don't even know what else to say. I get so angry when something like this happens - I don't understand how anyone could think something like this is funny at all. And it's such a waste of time...
